Mirza Palmer
Mirza Palma is a dedicated union steward and veteran letter carrier with nearly 20 years of experience at the United States Postal Service. Since beginning her career in 2005, Mirza has earned the respect of colleagues through hard work, integrity, and a deep commitment to unity and fairness in the workplace.
My Story
In 2020, she took on the role of union steward with the goal of making a difference—fostering trust in the union, promoting solidarity, and ensuring that every carrier feels seen and supported.
Mirza is known for her honesty and thorough approach to representation. From the beginning, she faced challenges head-on, gaining the confidence of fellow carriers through consistent truthfulness and persistence. When unsure of an answer, she researches the issue, consults the Joint Contract Administration Manual (JCAM), and reaches out to union leadership—always determined to provide reliable guidance. Despite resistance and attempts by management to discourage her advocacy, Mirza never backed down. She continued pushing forward, earning her stripes through determination, resilience, and a fierce commitment to the rights of union members. Her leadership is rooted in principle and powered by purpose. As long as she is able, Mirza will continue to stand strong for the carriers she serves.
